The Northern Territory Championship are conducted annually on the last weekend in July (Darwin Show long weekend) over 3 days from the Darwin Sailing Club. The Championship is open to all off the beach classes who have five or more boats competing. Any class that does not reach the required number of boats may compete in the Mixed Division and will be awarded placing based on established yardstick handicaps.
Classes usually include A-Class Cats, Tasars, Lasers and Minnows.
NT BIG Boat Regatta
The NT BIG Boat Regatta is conducted annually in November at the conclusion of the Dry Season Racing and in coordination with the first Wet Season Race each year. Entry is open to all yachts and catamarans with 4 divisions available. Racing is run across 2 days with Darwin Sailing Club hosting Saturday with 3 short windward return races and Dinah Beach hosting Sunday in conjunction with the first Wet Season Race. Divisions include;
- Cruising (Simplified Racing Rules)
- Under 30ft
NT Sailing Youth Cup
Sponsored by NAUTICAL SUPPLIES this series is specifically for junior and youth sailors, to build fleet numbers and racing experience at the Darwin Sailing Club (DSC). The series is comprised of seven DSC events. Using the results a high points scoring system will be applied to calculate winners in each class. The classes for the series are 29er, Laser & Minnow.
There is no entry fee and no need to register for the series. Only the top 5 boats in each class will receive points. Winners are announced at the DSC Presentation night each year.
